Saints Alive is our adult seniors' group. We meet every 4th Tuesday of the month for a potluck (that we call "Grace Abounds") in Nalley Hall. We encourage you to bring non-Hillside friends! We hope you will join us and bring a friend. Recently we have also gone to dinner theatre, and a holiday bus tour of Plaza and Longview Lake holiday lighting. Women's Service Day is every Thursday, from 10am until 2pm in Nalley Hall. Bring a sack lunch and enjoy a committed group of ladies who sew, piece, quilt - and send boxes and boxes of blankets to a variety of charitable organizations in our church's name.

SISTERS TOGETHER meets April 15, 7pm.

Women (and men are welcome, too!) cook a meal for Kansas City’s homeless, in ministry with Uplift on the 4^th Saturday of each month at 1pm in the church kitchen.

 

Our youth continue to bolster excitement and funds for their June mission trip to Jamaica. Thank you to all who enabled them to raise more than $3,000 in their JamaicaMECrazy dinner and auction!

 

Our Hillside food ministries are open Tuesdays 3-5pm, Wednesdays 5-7pm, and  and Thursdays 1-3pm. We provide service to our Hillside family, to families referred to us by the schools we serve in our Backpack ministry (Crestview, Northgate, and Topping), and to families referred by other social service agencies. Food or monetary donations for this ministry are always welcome; food may be left in the grocery cart in the main hallway.

Upcoming evening Adult Education opportunities:
A May Brown Bag Study (bring your own dinner) on each Wednesday evening in May. Meet at 5:30 to eat, study is 6-7pm. Focus in May is on Matthew's Gospel.

Financial Peace University - Want to get your financial life in order? You need to begin by making these commitments: 13 Sunday evenings, beginning June 1, from 5-7:30; dinner and child care included, and an investment of $93 toward the enrollment fee. Contact the church office or Jonathan Brightwell if interested for this pilot class (there will be others to follow). The class is limited to the first 12 who sign up, singles or couples.
