Giving is the act of making ministry a reality. 

Generosity to the ministries of Hillside makes a powerful difference in the lives of hundreds of God’s people – under the roof of the church and around the globe. Making a financial commitment to your church is an act of faith. It's a recognition of the presence of God in your life and an appreciation for the gift of grace.
 
Because of the generosity of our members and friends:

• All people are welcomed to God's table
• New disciples are baptized into God's family
• Couples are married
• Grieving families are comforted
• Children and youth learn from scripture and tradition
• Elderly receive pastoral visits
• New ministries are launched
• The good news of God’s love is proclaimed

Memorial Giving

There are several ways to honor and remember your loved ones through gifts to the church. Gifts to the Memorial Fund are organized into 5 areas of Ministry:

• General Fund
• Building Fund
• Children & Youth Fund
• Hope.wrx Fund
• Adult Mission Fund

Recurring Giving as Faithful Spiritual Practice

Generosity is a spiritual gift and a faith-filled practice. Stewardship of our personal resources is guided by the Spirit of God for the good use and work of the Body of Christ, the Church. 
Gifts and offerings can now be debited automatically from any major credit or debit card. This allows for consistent and faithful giving even during seasons of illness, travel or other interruptions that occur in life.

We also offer automatic bank draft giving. To set up ACH / EFT recurring offering, please contact Hillside's Operations Manager, Jonathan Brightwell at the church office, 816-453-2623.

Special Offerings

Hillside Christian Church participates in covenant ministry with the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) denomination, and as such, we collect special 1-time offerings through the year.

• Reconciliation / Anti-Racism & Pro-Reconciliation
• Week of Compassion / Disaster Relief & Recovery
• Thanksgiving / Disciples Higher Education
• Pentecost / Disciples of Christ New Church Growth

Support for General and Regional Christian Church is included in the annual church budget.
